This 20th edition of the Sala Beckett Summer Workshop begins on July 12th and runs until July 18th, 2026.
The Sala Beckett is one of the most prominent centers in Europe in the field of contemporary stage creation; a space for theatrical creation, training and experimentation, dedicated especially to the promotion of contemporary dramaturgy and the dissemination of Catalan theatrical authorship.
The collaboration between the IEB and the Sala Beckett in this field began in 2016 and an agreement between both institutions is currently in force. Over the years, playwrights such as Aina de Cos, Miquel Mas Fiol, Neus Nadal and Héctor Seoane, among many others, have taken part in the Beckett courses thanks to this call from the IEB.
Participation in the Obrador d’Estiu places artists from the Balearic Islands in a space of exchange and creative excellence that enhances the visibility of island talent in the national and international stage.
