The Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB), in collaboration with Juventudes Musicales de España, has opened a call for applications for the selection of a single music group from the Balearic Islands to take part in the Neorama Festival, a national platform aimed at promoting emerging young musical talent.
The Neorama Festival will take place in Granada on 3, 4 and 5 September and will bring together emerging music groups from all Spanish autonomous communities and cities, as well as young music students. The project aims to encourage artistic professionalisation, foster territorial cohesion and showcase Spain’s musical diversity.
The Neorama Festival seeks to become the first major national gathering of young musical talent, coinciding with the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Juventudes Musicales, and to establish itself as a key opportunity for visibility and professional projection for new generations of music creators.
The purpose of this call is the selection of a professional emerging music group from the Balearic Islands, which will represent the territory within the official programme of the Neorama Festival. The selected group will perform two 45-minute concerts at different venues in the city of Granada and will be included in the festival’s official online catalogue.
The selected group will receive a financial grant of €5,000, which includes professional fees and mobility expenses related to participation in the festival.
All musical styles are accepted. Special consideration will be given to artistic quality, originality, stage presence, communication skills, gender equality and the group’s connection with the cultural and musical context of the Balearic Islands.
The group must be made up of individuals aged between 18 and 35, born or residing in the Balearic Islands. The project must be emerging with a proven track record, with no limit on the number of members.
Applications must be submitted via the following online form:
