Introduction

A new edition of Fira B!, the professional music and performing arts market of the Balearic Islands, is coming to Palma. The music and performing arts programme will be held on different weeks. The performing arts programme will be on the 3th, 4th, 5th and 6th of October, and the music programme will be from the 6th to the 9th of November. Organized by the Govern de les Illes Balears, through the Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics (IEB), in collaboration with the Consell de Mallorca and Palma City Council, Fira B! presents the latest and most representative creations of artists from the Balearic Islands, with an attractive programme aimed at programmers, artists and the general public.

Fira B! was born in 2015 as the fair of performing arts of the Balearic Islands, which originated from Sea Arts (2013) and Illescena Fair (2014). In 2016, it incorporated music to its wide range of disciplines, previously based on theatre and performing arts. 

The scope of Fira B! goes beyond the stage performances, as it aims at creating suitable meeting spaces for artists and professionals, in order to encourage creativity and collaboration between the various collectives present at the fair. The task of these professionals will focus on two specific aspects: on the one hand, to meet up with artists on the network events that will take place during the fair; on the other hand, they will witness the performances offered by artists from the Balearic Islands for possible hiring.
