The two dancers and choreographers tackle the Absurd with a capital A, the kind that “is born from the confrontation between human questioning and the unreasonable silence of the world,” in the words of Albert Camus. A significant undertaking, since revolt is born from the loss of meaning, and from revolt comes freedom—the only true freedom, that of the human being finally left to their own devices in a world.

ADSURBE is the life story of two characters who break free from their beliefs, push back their mental and physical barriers, and flirt with the feeling of freedom and pushing boundaries. It is a creation inspired by numerous life stories of people who have overcome illness and by disabled, amputee, and burn victims at the Coubert rehabilitation center.
