The play is written in the first person, and the actor experiences it that way, making the protagonist’s suffering, anguish, terror, and guilt tangible for the audience. Actor Rodo Gener chooses to make the experience his own, thereby immersing the audience in the conflict, allowing them to live the experience, and prompting reflection.
The original music by Leonmanso accompanies the protagonist’s words and connects with the emotions unfolding throughout the performance. The songs are not merely a musical backdrop; the sensitivity of the Menorcan singer-songwriter transforms his music into a narrative element that resonates with the story, turning the protagonist’s pain into art shared with the audience.

Xàfec Teatre is a recently formed company, and Recreo is its first project. It is entirely formed by people from Menorca who studied at the Menorcan Dramatic Arts School (EADM). Pitus Fernández, lecturer and founder of the school, leads the project.
