JARANA explores traditional collective practices that are disappearing or at risk of vanishing. It is a project that invites reflection on the importance of preserving traditional celebrations, while also opening the door to new forms of group expression in an ever-changing and increasingly technological world.
JARANA is a celebration, a research journey that concludes a trilogy of works in which traditional collective practices are the main concepts of the exploration. It stems from the creator’s fascination with observing human participation in communal rituals, rooted in the universal need for connection and belonging.
