Every small step that Marta Knight has taken has meant a giant leap in her career. Allergic to standing still or doing what’s expected of her, the Barcelona-born artist has been steadily shaping a unique style that sounds contemporary and classic at the same time—timeless, in other words. The best kind of pop, the kind Marta makes, works like this: you play at catching the references while it always feels different and special.
From her debut Peterloo Heroes EP (2017) and her first big breakthrough, Resurrection (2018), which introduced her to the world, Marta Knight has specialized in emotionally charged songs with sharp melodic instincts, immediately setting her apart from similar acts. Her album Strange Times Forever (2022) marked her definitive confirmation as a long-term artist with creative depth—an album that added new textures to her sonic palette and took her to stages across the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Portugal, and Spain. She has opened for artists such as Men I Trust, Julien Baker, and Owen (the solo project of the singer of American Football).
Unbothered, her new EP, opens a new chapter, hinting that what’s coming will be even more exciting and special, if that’s possible. Stay tuned.
