Sardinia-born Daniela Pes is a singer-songwriter, musician and composer with a jazz background, a factor that has allowed her to grow artistically in absolute freedom. Singing in a made-up language, her deeply touching, rhythmically and vocally complex music almost possesses a religious character. By blending tradition with an avantgardist approach in the Franco Battiato mould, she conjures a sound that is utterly transportative and timeless. Her debut album, Spira, produced by IOSONOUNCANE in April 2023, was rightly described by Onda Rock as one of the most surprising Italian records of 2023.
